FAQs From Inner Light Foundation

1) Is the Inner Light Foundation a non-profit organization?

We have been a section 501(c)(3) non-profit since 1969 when Betty Bethards founded the organization. The Inner Light Foundation is a non-denominational, non-profit organization engaged in teaching, healing, and publishing promoting the development of individual spirituality.

2) How does the Inner Light Foundation financially sustain itself?

The organization sustains itself through donations, by selling books and audio downloads of Betty Bethards and on the income donated from Charles Rubin for his Numerology, Channeling and Dream readings. No one takes a salary and we use the money that is received to maintain the website and to continue publishing our popular books.

3) Why did the previous version of the Inner Light Foundation website have practically no content and this version of the website has so much?

Her name is Ann Fitzsimons. Ann has been a longtime fan of Betty’s and contacted Charles after Betty passed. Ann was and still is a web developer who owns her own web development company in San Jose. Ann had a vision and knew the website could be so much more. Ann has been the “engine” behind creating the current website being driven by the belief that what Betty taught should not be lost to the world. In fact, through the creation process, Ann swears she heard Betty saying to her (through her right ear), “No, that photo doesn’t work for this page, or, yes, that paragraph should be moved lower to flow better.” The new and improved website was started in 2020 and took over two years to complete (thanks to Covid and “life” challenges that can arise in a person’s life).

4) Where did all of the content from the website come from?

All of the content for the revamped website originally came through Betty Bethards via her Channel. Betty channeled all of her books and was guided and taught to give lectures and seminars throughout the 30+ years she was teaching and lecturing. Much of the content for the website came from the many boxes of content (from her notes, seminars and lectures) that were left after Betty passed in 2002. The content was in the possession of Charles Rubin, Betty’s husband.

5) How is the Inner Light Foundation structured?

The Inner Light Foundation has always been and continues to be a non-profit. Charles Rubin is President of the board, Rafael Rameriz is the Vice President and Ann Fitzsimons is the Secretary. No one takes a salary.
